<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a password input device and a password input method allowing general users to input passwords easily, while preventing password theft by shoulder surfing. <P>SOLUTION: The password input device 4 has: a password input screen 34 for displaying a partial input value display area 34a and slide input operation parts 34b, 34c; a password input screen display operation part 16 for displaying the password input screen 34; and an input value display part sliding means C8B for sliding and displaying the input value display part of an input value chart 36. The password input device further has an input value selection and detection member 16b for detecting input values; a selective input value detection and storage means C8C for detecting input values; a temporary selective input value storage memory C8C1 for temporarily storing selective input values; a password storage memory C8D1 for storing passwords; and a password discrimination means C8D for discriminating whether or not the selective input values are correct as passwords. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
