<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe indwelling needle assembly having a simple structure and capable of covering the whole body of an inner needle. <P>SOLUTION: This indwelling needle assembly is provided with: a first sleeve 15 covering the distal end of the inner needle 5 and an elastic member 25 energizing the first sleeve 15 in the direction of the distal end of the inner needle, in a needle base 7 having the inner needle 5 inserted into a catheter 3; a second sleeve 19 integrally movable with the first sleeve 15 in the distal end direction of the inner needle 5 between a cylindrical body cover 17 fixed to the needle base 7 and the first sleeve 15; a lock mechanism retaining the first sleeve 15 in the fixed state to the body cover 17 against the energizing force of the elastic member 25; a lock releasing means for releasing the locking state in the body cover 17; and locking means for preventing detent of the first and second sleeves 15 and 19 between the body cover 17 and the second sleeve 19, and between the second sleeve and the first sleeve respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
