PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video processing device which is improved in handleability. SOLUTION: The video processing device includes: a detection section for detecting whether or not a received video signal includes a wall paper part such as a pattern and a pattern part such as a non-picture area part configured in a single color in addition to contents; and a correction section for correcting the video signal, wherein control is made so as not to correct the video signal when the received video signal includes the pattern part.
