PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device capable of support driving so that a driver does not feel a sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: The driving support device for supporting driving of own vehicle 51 when another vehicle 52 is confluent with a main line 61 where the own vehicle 51 is running on, and detects mental state of the driver of its own vehicle 51, sets a front and rear relationship between the own vehicle 51 and the other vehicle 52 in confluence on the basis of the mental state, and controls a running state of the own vehicle 51 on the basis of the set result. Thus, running control which differs between when the driver is in haste and when s/he is not can be performed and the running control in accordance with the driver's mental state can be performed.
