PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication terminal device, in which a mobile object such as an intruder can be detected without using any separate sensor, and a movement detection method. SOLUTION: This device comprises an antenna 3 receiving a radio signal transmitted from a radio station 2, a receiving level measurement part 5 measuring the signal level of the radio signal received by the antenna 3, a sampling part 61 sampling the signal level measured by the measurement part 5, a storage part 62 storing a plurality of the signal levels sampled by the sampling part, a fluctuation calculation part 63 calculating the difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the plurality of signals stored by the storage part 62 as fluctuation; and a movement detection part 64 detecting the movement of an object around an own device when the fluctuation calculated by the calculation part 63 exceeds a preset threshold.
