PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for producing a biodegradable molded product, and a method for production of a paste, a plate form material and a molded product using the composition. SOLUTION: The composition contains a glutinous material prepared by mixing, stirring and heating one or more natural material powder selected from a group consisting of wheat, starch, rice, glutinous rice, potato, corn, tapioca and sweet potato, and water at 0-80°C of a 1-15 fold amount relative to the powder, vegetable starch material powder and vegetable fibrous material powder. Each one of the glutinous material, vegetable starch material powder and vegetable fibrous material powder is contained at 1-50 wt.%, respectively, relative to the whole weight of the composition.
