PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball game machine capable of enhancing the amusement of games by further complicating the behavior of a game ball introduced into a variable winning device by a movable member till the game ball enters a special winning hole. SOLUTION: The pinball game machine comprises a mounting board, a recessed chamber 25, a pair of movable members, and the variable winning device with a general winning hole and the special winning hole. The variable winning device comprises an auxiliary movable member 40 and an accessory member. The auxiliary movable member 40 has a first game ball rolling surface 46, and the accessory member has a backward guide passage bottom part 67. When the state of the auxiliary movable member 40 is changed to the opened state and the accessory member is operated upward, the backward guide passage bottom part 67 is located higher than the first game ball rolling surface 46, so that game balls can be retained on the first game ball rolling surface 46. When the state of the auxiliary movable member 40 is changed to the opened state and the accessory member is operated downward, the backward guide passage bottom part 67 is located lower than the first game ball rolling surface 46, so that the game balls on the first game ball rolling surface 46 can roll onto the backward guide passage bottom part 67.
