<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag for a vehicle having a small tensile shock and thermal influence on a sewn part in a tether root part when the bag is operated. SOLUTION: In an air bag for a vehicle, a gas inflow opening part 117 is provided, the air bag is formed by swing 120 a peripheral edge of mounting side/opposed surface side foundation cloths 116, 118, mounting on a bag holding member 136 through arrangement a retainer 114 of the gas inflow opening part 117. In an inside surface of the mounting side foundation cloth 116, a cloth layered part 122 is formed in a peripheral edge part of the gas inflow opening part 117, in the cloth layered part 122 each root part of respective belt cloth- shaped tether 124 and straightening cloth 126 extended in the same direction is provided so as to position the tether 124 on the side of the mounting side foundation cloth 116. The cloth layered part 122 excepting the straightening cloth 126 and including the tether 124 is sewn on the mounting side foundation cloth 116 on the outside from a retainer width of the tether 124, the straightening cloth 126 and the tether 124 are not sewn together on the outside from the retainer width.</p> |
