DIRECT TYPE LED BACKLIGHT UNIT

A direct type LED(Light Emitting Diode) back light unit is provided to mix the light generated from an R(Red)-G(Green)-B(Blue) LED package, thereby forming the white light. An LED package(116) includes an LED chip for generating the light. An LED lens member is located on the path of light generating from the LED chip and guides the path of light. A back light unit includes plural RGB LED packages. An LED corner reflection cover(160) is arranged at the edge of the LED package and has a combining groove to be combined with the LED package. The LED corner reflection cover is extended downwardly from the edge of the LED package as a skirt shape and made of materials with high reflection ratio such as polycarbonate. A reflection coating layer is formed on the LED lens member. A metal PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(122) is interposed between a substrate chassis(120) and the LED package.
