A band length extension structure of a fuel tank for a vehicle is provided to avoid an impact of a fuel tank with a spare tire well portion of a rear floor by extending a fuel tank band and lowering a fuel tank when the vehicle collides on the rear side thereof. A band length extension structure of a fuel tank for a vehicle includes an upper band(10), a lower band(20), and an engaging pin(30). The upper band includes a fastening member(12), a movement passage(14), and first insertion holes(16). The fastening member guides the engagement and movement. The movement passage is formed in a longitudinal direction. The first insertion holes are formed on both sides of an end of the movement passage. The lower band includes a locking member(22) suppressing separation of the upper band and having second insertion holes(26). The engaging pin is inserted into the first insertion hole and the second insertion hole to engage the upper band and the lower band. In a collision of the vehicle, the engaging pin receives a signal of a rear collision sensor so that the upper band can be moved along the lower band and is separated from the insertion holes.
