A system and a method for recognizing a multi-dimensional time-series signal are provided to transfer meaningful feature information of an inputted multi-dimensional time-series signal to a pattern recognizing unit as maintaining a high recognition rate. A signal extracting unit(200) selects a meaningful signal from a multi-dimensional time-series signal, and extracts signal interval information of the selected meaningful signal. A B-spline filter unit(300) outputs a B-spline by using the extracted signal interval information and extracts feature information from the outputted B-spline curve. A pattern recognizing unit(400) receives the feature information extracted by the B-spline filter unit(300), and recognizes a pattern.
