The design is intended for agricultural use where a tracked vehicle is required but the distance between the plants or trees must be kept to a minimu. There are two separate drives (11, 12) that can pivot relative to one another on a horizontal and vertical axis. The drives each have one track only (13, 14), the forward track being on the left side of the tractor and its driving sprocket (22) being at the rear of the track. The sprocket (23) (also the drive sprocket) of the rear, right hand drive. The steering gear (19) pivots the two drives relative to the vertical axis, limit stops being provided to control movement. The front idler (24) of the front track and the rear idler (25) of the gear track incorporate track tensioning devices. The rear track supports a trailer with power take off facility. Brakes are provided on one or both tracks.
