REPEATER HAVING DIELECTRIC BAND STOP RESONATORS

A dielectric band stop resonator and a repeater including the same are provided to design a pass band and a duplex filter with high skirt and improved insertion loss characteristics by connecting a number of coaxial dielectric resonators having minimum radiation energy loss and a band stop filter. A repeater includes a transmitter stage and a receiver stage around an antenna. A low noise amplifier amplifies a receiving signal as an RF signal received from the receiver stage suppresses noise included in the RF signal. A filter unit improves skirt characteristics of the RF signal from the low noise amplifier. A drive amplifier amplifies the RF signal from the filter unit. The RF signal is inputted to the transmitter stage and then is radiated to the outside through the antenna. The filter unit is formed by assembling a coaxial dielectric resonator and a band pass filter capacitively or inductively. The coaxial dielectric resonator minimizes radiation energy loss. The band pass filter includes a coupling electrode holder composed of a thin metal film in order to connect an input/output port to the coaxial line. An electrode part is prepared in the coupling electrode holder, and a dielectric filter is prepared in the electrode part, and a coupling electrode is inserted in the dielectric filter and is connected to the input/output port.
