A hermetic compressor is provided to have high reliability and reduce wear of a ball joint part by using a material having a high wear resistant property. A hermetic compressor includes a hermetic container, a compressing element, a crank unit, and a ball(2a). The compressing element is received in the hermetic container. The compressing element has a cylinder and a piston(4). The piston reciprocates inside of the cylinder. The crank unit has a connecting rod(2) connected to the piston. The ball is installed on the connecting rod and is ball-jointed on the piston by rotating a ball receiving hole formed on the piston. A lubricant is provided to the sliding moving part of the ball joint.
