An air cleaner apparatus and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to secure the sealing property of an air cleaner case by allowing a closing section of a case member combined with a vessel-shaped case member to close a notch. An air cleaner apparatus has a box shape by using a plurality of case members. An air cleaner case(101) having a plurality of chambers is provided in the interior of the air cleaner apparatus. At least one member forming the air cleaner case includes a vessel-shaped case member(200). A communication pipe(107) connecting the chambers is formed in the vessel-shaped case member. The communication pipe is integrally formed with the vessel-shaped case member. A notch is formed on a side wall of the vessel-shaped case member. A closing section closing the notch is installed in another case member combined with the vessel-shaped case member.
