A method for providing travel information using a travel information system is provided to enable a user to check a schedule, expenses, and impressions for a desired travel course, join in a group traveling the same course, and previously travel the desired travel course by using a cyber character. If a user terminal transmits a search signal to a webpage after registration, a travel information providing server displays a travel map to the user terminal(S305). The server receives a selection signal for a destination place and tour sites around the destination place from the user terminal(S309). The user inputs the travel schedule, the travel course, and transportation information(S305). The server calculates the travel schedule, course, and expense for reaching the destination place by using databases stored in a storing part, and displays the calculated travel schedule, course, and expense to the user terminal(S317). |
