An illuminating system using a surface lighting plastic optical fiber is provided to obtain luminance of uniform brightness by damaging a clad layer of the optical fiber by performing laser processing of a desired image. In an illuminating system using a surface lighting plastic optical fiber including a core, an optical fiber and an emission part, the core is used for moving incident light. The optical fiber is composed of a clad layer surrounding the circumference of the core. The emission part emits the light incident on the optical fiber to the surface. The emission part is an emission groove(30) which is laser-processed to emit the light incident on the core accurately and precisely. A scattering pattern groove scattering the incident light is formed in the core linked to the emission groove. |
