APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC-LEVELING OF SKIRT IN CONVERTER

An apparatus for automatic leveling of a skirt in a converter is provided to improve the recovery ratio of converter gas and prevent a large explosion accident from being occurred in a flue gas duct by automatically adjusting horizontality of a converter skirt. An apparatus for automatic leveling of a skirt in a converter comprises: a plurality of hydraulic cylinders(4) attached to an outer periphery of a converter skirt(3) by cylinder bases(6); sensing devices(100) attached to the cylinders; and drive means(8) and a control device(9) operated by control of a PLC(programmable logic controller)(7) to supply oil to the skirt such that the sensing devices sense the horizontal state of the skirt when the skirt is operated by hydraulic pressure. The sensing devices comprises: a hexagonal box(102) as a body part attached to the cylinder; a ball(103) installed in the box; a horizontality sensing sensor(105) installed at an inner side of a sidewall adhered to the cylinder in six inner sidewalls of the hexagonal box; and a non-horizontality sensing sensor(107) installed on an opposite sidewall.
