PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removable medium unit capable of preventing information stored in a removable medium from leaking through a network. SOLUTION: When a user name and a password are stored in a memory card 40 (S3:Yes), the user name and password are read and stored in a RAM 3 (S4). Then, whether or not a login request, the user name and the password are received from a PC 20 through the network is determined (S5). When the login request, the user name and the password are received (S5:Yes), whether or not the user name and the password are stored in the RAM 3 is determined (S6). When the user name and the password are stored (S6:Yes), whether or not the user name and the password are matched with the received user name and password respectively is determined (S7).
