<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously transfer image data and control data from a host controller to an LCD controller without reducing the transfer rate of the image data. <P>SOLUTION: The LCD controller 2N connected to the host controller 1 through data communication lines 50, 51 comprises: a VRAM write part 23 for writing the image data input from the data communication line 51 to the VRAM 24; an image data output part 25 for outputting this image data to an LCD display device 3; a register group 27 for storing the write control data input from the data communication line 51 and the output control data input from the data communication line 50; and a register write part 26 for choosing an addressed register from the register group 27 and performing data writing, and the data write requests from the data communication lines 50, 51 compete with each other, the register write part 26 includes a write arbitration part 63 which arbitrates these write operations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
