<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of warming up a fuel cell even in a low-load state to a necessary and sufficient level. <P>SOLUTION: When warming up the fuel cell, the fuel cell is operated while an air theoretical ratio is set to less than 1.0 (theoretical value) (see the dotted line in Fig. 2). When the air theoretical ratio is set to a low value for operation, power loss (namely, thermal loss) in energy taken out by the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen increases positively, thus warming up the fuel cell rapidly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
