<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a neat lower face of stairs without exposing a nut for mounting an open string even with a plate-like tread. <P>SOLUTION: A step 40 of the plate-like tread 33 is formed with an effective tread face length L<SB>0</SB>and a riser length L<SB>11</SB>. The step 40 has a riser 34 erected on the inner side of the plate-like tread 33. A long nut 12 is mounted to a nosing part, and a long nut 28 is mounted to the tread 33 in a position L<SB>1</SB>from the nosing edge. A horizontal distance L<SB>13</SB>and a vertical distance L<SB>11</SB>are set between the long nut 12 and a long nut 28. The open string is provided with through holes 43A, 43B bored corresponding to the long nuts 12, 28 of the tread 40 respectively. The steps 40 are held by the open strings 42 to constitute the stairs 50. The stairs 50 can be constructed using the same open strings for the steps 40 of different structure by making L<SB>0</SB>, L<SB>1</SB>, L<SB>11</SB>and L<SB>13</SB>common. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
