PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a printed coil usable as a coil assembly for driving the arm of an HDD by so covering its end surface with a conductive layer as to prevent foreign matters generated from its broken surface, and also, reduce the size, the thickness, and the price of the coil assembly. SOLUTION: The printed coil is constituted such that its end surface is so covered with a conductive layer formed by an additive method as to prevent the exposure of its broken surface, and the generation of any foreign matters from its end surface can be prevented only by treating the broken surface left in a cut mark generated when cutting its holder in its manufacturing process.
