PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device capable of providing to a user, information for setting a threshold capable of determining accurately whether an inspection object is normal or not. SOLUTION: This inspection device is a device for acquiring a characteristic quantity from an engine, and inspecting whether the engine is a nondefective article or not according to the characteristic quantity. The device is equipped with a wrong discrimination rate measured value calculation part 25 for calculating each measured value of an over-detection rate which is a ratio of determining a nondefective engine as a defective one and an overlooking rate which is a ratio of determining a defective engine as a nondefective one from a frequency distribution of the characteristic quantity acquired from the nondefective engine and the defective engine, a wrong discrimination rate expected value calculation part 26 for calculating each expected value of the over-detection rate and the overlooking rate, and a display control part 29 for displaying a graph showing the change of each measured value of the calculated over-detection rate and overlooking rate corresponding to a change of the threshold, and a graph showing the change of each predicted value of the calculated over-detection rate and overlooking rate.
