PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preparation substantially eliminating a time lag until elution of a medicine from a sustained-release oral solid preparation using a water-soluble polymer gelling by water absorption starts. SOLUTION: In the sustained-release oral solid preparation in which sustained release of the medicine is attained by coating an uncoated tablet containing a medicine and a water-soluble polymer to gel by water absorption with a first coating layer not containing a medicine and having water permeability and by local integration of the uncoated tablet swollen gradually by water permeated from the first film coating layer, the first coating layer is coated with a second coating film containing a medicine and the film-forming substance of the second film coating layer is a water-soluble polymer or a mixture of a water-soluble polymer and a hydrophobic substance.
