PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document conveyance device capable of conveying a document to read its both faces and delivering it without causing breakage and jamming of a document left in a document conveyance passage or a switch-back conveyance passage after conveyance of the document is interrupted. SOLUTION: A control part 60 of an image reading device 1 reads conveyance mode information and reading condition information from a conveyance mode storage means and a reading condition storage means, respectively, when resuming the interrupted conveyance of document. When operation is in conveyance mode for reading both faces of document and the first face of the document is conveyed and handled, the control part 60 delivers the document onto a delivery tray 31 after its switch-back conveyance. When operation is in conveyance mode for reading both faces of document and the second face of the document is conveyed and handled, the control part 60 delivers the document onto the delivery tray 31 after its switch-back conveyance. When operation is in conveyance mode for reading both faces of document and the second face of the document is conveyed and handled, the control part 60 delivers the document onto the delivery tray 31 without performing its switch-back conveyance.
