SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MONOLITHIC IMAGE FOR USE IN A WIRELESS DEVICE

A system for supplying a monolithic image for use in a wireless device and a method therefor are provided to minimize patch size by a patch minimization module when an image for use in a mobile device is updated, thereby minimizing influence on updating. Plural components which generate images expressed in machine language code are checked(502). Each component generates export symbol lists for including all symbols existing within components accessible to other components and import symbol lists for including all symbols existing in the other components that the components require(504). Direction change mechanism is generated by including indirect references of each symbol existing in the export symbol lists of each component located in import symbol lists of at least one of the other components(506). Each component changes each direct reference for the symbols of the other components into indirect references related to symbols of the mechanism, without changing references for the inside of the components(508). A final image including the changed components and the mechanism is generated.
