<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas cleaning catalyst to be hardly degraded thermally. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst comprises the steps of: coating a base material, which is formed from ceramics or metals, with slurry containing a metal oxide particle; and firing the slurry-coated base material 23a to form a carrier 23b on the base material. When the exhaust gas cleaning catalyst is manufactured, the metal oxide particle is fired at such high temperature that the metal oxide constituting the carrier is hardly sintered even when exhaust gas flows into the manufactured exhaust gas cleaning catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
