PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for retrieving resources in a pure peer-to-peer network, which can efficiently retrieve resources on a communication network. SOLUTION: In respective peers 14 to 16 in the pure peer-to-peer network 10, lists 40, 44, 47 of resources 17 to 23 are produced, sensitivity information is added to the resources 17 to 23, respectively to produce pieces of resource data 41 to 43, 45, 46, 48, 49, then pieces of summary data 50 to 52 are produced by integrating the pieces of resource data 41 to 43, 45, 46, 48, 49 into one piece of data, and the pieces of summary data 50 to 52 are sent to another peer. In an arbitrary peer, similarity between a retrieval query 53 including sensitivity information on the necessary resource and the pieces of summary data 51, 52 of peers 15, 16 excluding the arbitrary peer 14 is calculated, the specific piece of summary data 52 is selected with a probability proportional to the similarity, and the necessary piece of resource data 48 is selected from the resource list 47 of the peer 16 having the piece of resource data 52 to obtain the piece of resource data 48.
