PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general purpose combine harvester that satisfies both of the operation of longitudinal position adjustment or rotation speed of the raking reel, and of the operation for controlling the spped of the machine body. SOLUTION: In this general purpose combine harvester A in which a reaping part 8 is arranged in front of the machine body 2, and the maneuvering part 9 equipped with a steering wheel 91 for steering travelling devices 1, 1 and with the main gear lever 94 for travelling and the thrashing part 5 is provided on the upper part of the machine body 2, the lengthwise position controlling switch S4 for a scraping reel 85 provided at the reaping portion 8 and the rotation speed-controlling switch S5 for controlling the rotary speed of the scraping up reel 85 are provided at the travelling main gear lever 94.
