PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small cored motor 1 wherein variation in the number of rotations of a shaft 8 is reduced. SOLUTION: The cored motor 1 includes: a first coil 11 and a second coil 20 wound on a core 9 fixed on the shaft 8; a first commutator 12 connected to the first coil 11 and further fixed on the shaft 8; a second commutator 21 connected to the second coil 20 and further fixed on the shaft 8; a pair of brushes 3 in slidable contact with the first commutator 12; a pair of brushes 6 in slidable contact with the second commutator 21; first terminals 17 connected to the pair of brushes 3; second terminals 26 connected to the pair of brushes 6; and a variable resistor 28 that connects together a pair of the second terminals 26 so that they can be energized.
