<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a bidirectional optical transmission/reception module that is used for FTTH for example, that prevents leaked light of a transmitting LD from entering a receiving PD, and that suppresses lowering of reception sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: The bidirectional optical transmission/reception module is made up of sections comprising an optical waveguide, an optical signal transmitting section and an optical signal receiving section. After each section is independently manufactured, the optical transmitting section and the optical receiving section are actively adjusted on one side of the optical waveguide and connected to each other. Then, the optical waveguide, the optical signal transmitting section and the optical signal receiving section are covered with such resin that absorbs light of a receiving wavelength and a transmitting wavelength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
