摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cast iron for press die which has high strength and excellent dumping property, weldability, hardenability and workability while using conventional casting equipment. SOLUTION: In the cast iron for press die, the ratio of graphite spheroidization in a metallic structure ranges from 30 to 70%, and further, oxygen content, pearlite ratio and S content are made to 5 to 20 ppm (mass ratio), 60 to 100% and≤0.03% (mass ratio), respectively. Moreover, the cast iron contains, by mass, 3 to 4% C, 1.5 to 2.5% Si, 0.5 to 1.0% Mn, 0.2 to 1.0% Cr and 0.2 to 1.0% Cu. A manufacturing process of this cast iron for press die is divided into a work process in a melting furnace 10, a work process in a ladle 20 and a work process in a mold 30, and these processes are allowed to proceed concurrently in part.
