PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the separation or reverse flow of a blowout flow generated on the downstream end face of the hub of an impeller. SOLUTION: In a blower, a plurality of vanes 2 are disposed around a hub part 8, and a drive part 9 is installed on the suction side. An impeller 6 has such a hub shape that a part or all of the blowout side end faces of the hub part 8 are closed is adopted in the blower. When a part of the air force-fed from the impeller 6 is blown out, the separation and the reverse flow of the flow occurring at the hub part 8 can be suppressed. Consequently, the performance and characteristics of the blower can be improved, the efficiency of he blower can be increased, and the silent operation of the blower can be achieved.
