A system for simulating a satellite with component based satellite modeling is provided to perform satellite simulation by separation of satellite-dependant data and property of a modeling target, forming a component based model, and scheduling/managing time of processes forming each component based on the model. A user interface(10) receives a simulation control command and data/parameters required for the simulation from a user. A satellite model part(30) separately stores the satellite-dependant information and the property/parameter information of the simulated model, and performs the simulation according to the simulation control command. A simulation kernel(20) generates/stores a schedule control command for controlling the simulation of the satellite model part, an onboard simulator(40), and an external interface(50) by the control command received from the user interface, and collects/manages simulation results. The simulation kernel includes a simulation control module(21), a timer module(22), a scheduling module(23), an event managing module(25), and an event log module(26).
