<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carpophores of insect parasite fungus, which enables rapid and stable production of carpophores of insect parasite fungi. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing carpophores of insect parasite fungi comprises scratching the epidermis of an insect, inoculating the insect parasite fungi into a scratched part to increase the insect parasite fungi in the body of the insect so that the carpophores of the insect parasite fungi are formed. The insect parasite fungi uses for example Cordyceps sinensis (Berkeley) Saccardo fungi, the insects uses lepidopteran such as Spodoptera litura. It is preferable to culture the insect parasite fungi on an agar medium or a grain medium to form fungal hyphae of the insect parasite fungi on the medium, and place the insect having the scratch on its epidermis on the fungal hyphae to inoculate the insect parasite fungi to the insect.
