PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of securing a proper internal temperature by an inexpensive means in regard to a refrigerator cooling an interior by cold air capacity distribution of a freezing chamber and a refrigeration chamber. SOLUTION: The refrigerator is provided with the refrigeration chamber 2, the freezing chamber 3, a compressor 4 composing a cooling system, an evaporator 6, and a fan motor 5 for interior cooling, and the interior is cooled by cold air capacity distribution of the freezing chamber 3 and the refrigeration chamber 2. During a normal cooling operation cycle, starting of the fan motor 5 for interior cooling is delayed than starting of the compressor 4, and when an outside air temperature is low, the cold air capacity distribution becomes larger in a freezing chamber side by natural convection of cold air, a freezing chamber temperature can be positively cooled to a predetermined temperature, and a keeping quality of frozen food is improved.
