METADATA GENERATING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metadata generating apparatus capable of generating metadata by which an important image is accurately and speedily searched from contents by using a keyword in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises: a time information input section 4 for inputting time information corresponding to an image signal output from an image/voice content reproducing device; a voice input device 6 for inputting the keyword corresponding to the image signal with voice; a keyword dictionary section 8 in which keyword data are stored; a voice recognition section 7 which recognizes a voice signal output from the voice input device and converts it to the keyword data stored in the keyword dictionary section ; a metadata generating section 9 for generating the metadata in which the keyword data output from the voice recognition section and the time information data output from the time information input section are related and united; and a priority information attaching section 5 for attaching weight information (priority information) to the keyword data stored in the keyword dictionary section.
