PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep an angle of view constant, even if the focal distance of the whole lens system changes with the movement of a focus lens.

SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus is provided with: an imaging device for imaging an object; a focus lens (101) to be used for focusing; a lens drive portion for at least driving the focus lens to a plurality of focus positions with respect to the object, an image forming portion for forming an image on the basis of a picked-up image signal from the imaging device; a magnification-change-ratio acquisition portion (127) for acquiring a magnification change ratio for each focus position so that the angle of view of each image picked up and formed at each focus position of the focus lens is kept constant; a size conversion portion (111) for converting the size of the image on the basis of the magnification change ratio; and an output portion for outputting the converted image converted by the size conversion portion.
