PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a subscriber profile access management system for a service provider or for the operator of telecommunications. SOLUTION: As products and services offered by a service provider grow, when many different access mechanisms through which a subscriber connects to services are given, a single-access point eliminates inefficient proliferation of custom interfaces among many support systems and applications which need access to subscriber profile information. The single-access point provides a general-purpose and personalized access to telecommunication services. Access may be made to a subscriber profile, regardless of the particular type of access mechanism (e.g., WiFi or DSL access), while a personalized access allows services to be customized, based on the statically and dynamically maintained information in the subscriber profile.
