PURPOSE:To eliminate the defects of a silver salt type photosensitive and heat sensitive recording material, by adding a specified Co(III) complex and a photo- induced radical generating agent as effective components to a recording layer provided on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The following compounds are dissolved in a proper solvent: A Co(III) cmplex, such as hexamminecobalt (III) perchlorate generating basic substances by reduction at high temperature; a stoichiometric amount of compound, such as CBr4 generating a radical on irradiation of light; a chelating agent; a sensitizer; and a resin binder. This solution is coated on a substrate like paper and dried to form a recording layer. The latent image of an oxidation reduction couple is formed on the recording layer by imagewise exposure, and the latent image is developed by heating at about 90-120 deg.C and basic substances are produced. An image can be formed on diazo photosensitive paper by using the basic substances imagewise produced. |
