PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new charge transporting compound achieving both film-forming properties during forming of a film by a method for coating and electrical characteristics of the resultant film at high levels. SOLUTION: The charge transporting compound is represented by general formula (I) [wherein, X1, X2and X3represent each independently a halogen atom, a 1-10C alkyl group, a 1-10C alkoxy group, a substituted or an unsubstituted aryl group, a 7-10C aralkyl group, a substituted or an unsubstituted styryl group, a substituted or an unsubstituted butadiene group or a substituted or an unsubstituted hydrazone group; R1, R2and R3represent each independently a 1-18C monovalent organic group; L1, L2and L3represent each independently an alkylene group; p1, p2 and p3 represent each independently an an integer of 0-2; and q1, q2 and q3 represent each independently 0 or 1 and satisfy conditions of (q1+q2+q3)≥1].
