<p>A thrust bearing (41) is interposed between the flange part (6a) of an output shaft (6) and the side face (2g) of the sleeve part (2d) of a case (2), and a ball bearing (60) is interposed between the inner peripheral part (2e) of the sleeve part (2d) and the outer peripheral part (6e) of the output shaft (6) so that the side face (61a) of its outer race (61) is brought into contact with a step part (2f). A flange yoke (7) connected to a propeller shaft is spline-engaged with the outer peripheral side of the output shaft (6) and secured to the output shaft (6) so that, when pressed by the propeller shaft in the X1-direction, the flange yoke (7) is brought into contact with the side face (62a) of the inner race (62) of the ball bearing (60) through a shim washer (8). Consequently, since a force produced in the ball bearing (60) can be limited to a force acting in the X1-direction, the durability of the ball bearing (60) can be increased and the size thereof can be reduced, and the axial position of the output shaft can be maintained with high precision.</p> |
