<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a WDM (wavelength-division multiplexing) signal monitor capable of measuring optical signals with few photodiodes. <P>SOLUTION: A WDM signal monitor for measuring wavelength-division multiplexed optical signals is improved to acquire this WDM signal monitor. The WDM signal monitor is provided with both a spectrometer in which a plurality of photodiodes are arranged in a prescribed direction to disperse the wavelengths of optical signals in a prescribed direction and receive each dispersed optical signal with every couple of elements of the photodiodes and a power operation means for determining the total power of the optical signals on the basis of output of the photodiodes of the spectrometer which receives the optical signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
