PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide incorrect collating inspection equipment which enables easy and sure detection of incorrect collating between adjacent partitions even when registered images of the adjacent partitions resemble each other. SOLUTION: A plurality of fold section images are determined from each of normal fold sections extracted respectively from a plurality of stockers, by changing image pickup areas for these fold sections, and the fold section images in the same image pickup areas between the adjacent partitions that are superposed sequentially are compared with each other so as to judge the possibility of failing in incorrect collating inspection (incorrect collating inspection failure preventing means), and the fold section images to be adopted as the registered images in the individual partitions are set according to the results of the judgment (registered image setting means). In the incorrect collating inspection, the fold section image in the same image pickup area as the registered image is determined as an object of inspection and collated with the registered image.
