<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle motion state determination system that can calculate quantities representing the behavior of a vehicle, such as a yaw rate, without using data maps, and can accurately determine whether the vehicle is in a normal travel state or in a spin/drift state. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle motion state determination system 1 comprises a vehicle behavior estimation device 2 for calculating quantities representing the behavior of a vehicle by using a neural network in which the transfer function f<SB>i</SB>(X<SB>i</SB>) of one or more of component nodes N<SB>i</SB>is a binary function, and a vehicle motion state determination device 3 for determining whether the motion state of the vehicle is a normal state or a spin/drift state from outputs Y<SB>i</SB>of the binary function in the neural network of the vehicle behavior estimation device 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
