PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly gas cooking stove with improved thermal efficiency preventing intrusion of soup into an apparatus and enabling the apparatus to be used in a clean state over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The cooking stove burner has a burner body 8 having a mixed gas passage and an annular head portion provided with an opening on a top face thereof, and a burner cap 9 having flame holes 16 disposed radially at equal intervals toward the center side on the top surface, the cross section of the flame holes 16 being a shape with one end protruding above the other end face, and having an inclined face on the top surface from the outer circumference toward the center side so that the center side is higher than the outer circumference. The burner cap 9 is detachably placed on the annular head portion of the burner body 8, and a swirling flow of flame is formed on the top surface side of the burner cap 9.
