The parrot cage has a grid forming a dome over a bottom tray (1) and consisting of several segments (3, 4, 5). One segment (3) is positively connected to the bottom tray, while the others (4, 5) are swivelable in relation to this stationary segment, at least over greater part of their lenghts. The cage dome may be of any arbitrary cross section, i.e polygonal, rectangular. The bottom tray has to correspond to the dome cross section, and the latter stationary segment is vertically inserted into the tray. Pref. the assembly is releasable.
