Sterilised medical instrument sealing piece - incorporates germ proof gas permeable filter and can be water repellent

The sealing piece is for gas sterilised medical instruments. It seals the union on the instrument to make it germ-proof but gas-permeable, using a fine porous filter pice (4). The sealing piece is removable or can be broken off, exposing the union ready for use. The filter piece can be water-repellent, and clamped between a sleeve (1) and the union. The sealing piece can have a portion fitting inside the union, and pressing a filter ring against the mouth of the latter.
