REGULATION OF TRANSCRIPTION OF GENE WITHIN VASCULAR CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for targeting a transcription factor which is a target suitable for a decoy by using a double-stranded nucleic acid which has a specific sequence for regulating transcription in vascular cells such as endothelial and smooth muscle cells and binding the transcription factor.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for regulating the transcription of one or more genes in vascular or cardiac cells, wherein the method comprises a step of bringing the above cells into contact with a composition comprising one or more double-stranded nucleic acids which can sequence-specifically bind to transcription factor AP-1 and/or C/EBP or related transcription factors.
